Here we are in the 21st century, right?  This is the 21st century?  2015?  We've been streaming music for several years now.  Well, I have anyway.  I do still have a somewhat of a CD collection as well.  I have no cassette tapes that I can think of.  Certainly no 8 track tapes, and absolutely no vinyl records in my house.

But I have a couple of friends who have been listening to records a lot here lately.  Call it nostalgia, I guess, they are listening to these why?  Because of the pops and crackles that you hear on records.  It reminds them of the days when vinyl was king.  I guess I can see that.

Every once in awhile, as I explore the garage sales and estate sales of central New York, I happen upon a record player and records, and I come very close to making a purchase.  Then I snap back to reality and remember that my house at the moment could easily be a candidate for the show "Hoarders".  Then I step away quietly.

Not a bad hobby, I guess.  You can definitely still find some decent records out there at record shops and sales.  For me it's as simple as I can get it, which means digital all they way.  Hey, it takes work to pull the record out of the sleeve, put it on the turntable, put the needle on the record, then repeat.
