20 year old New Hartford golfer Derek Bard is set to play in the 80th Masters Tournament at Augusta.

The former state champion golfer from New Hartford High School has been in Augusta since Friday practicing. According to Syracuse.com, he's been trying to learn a ton about the course before the tournament.

The main thing is the greens," he said of Augusta National. "When you're actually there it's just incredible some of the green complexes, and how severe (sloped) and undulating they actually are. In November when I played the first hole – that first green on TV doesn't look like anything too special. But you get up there and it's one of the most severe greens on the course."

Bard is currently a junior at the University of Virginia. He's making Central New York proud all this week at the 80th Masters Tournament.

You can watch the tournament Thursday through Sunday. Here's the TV schedule:

Wednesday: Par 3 Contest (live 3-5 p.m. on ESPN);
Thursday and Friday (live 3 to 7:30 p.m. on ESPN);
Saturday (live 3 to 7:30 on CBS);
Sunday (live 2 to 7 on CBS)"

Best of luck Derek!
