New Hampshire Volunteer Firefighter Steve Whitcomb had to pull his own dying daughter out of a fatal SUV accident. The worst part, he didn’t know it was her.

Steve was one of the first rescue workers on the scene of a three-car pileup, he ended pulling a dying woman from athe accident. He later discovered she was his own daughter.

The town’s police chief told the Union Leader, Whitcomb didn’t recognize her at first: “Her father was the one who pulled her out of the car without knowing it was her.”

According to police, 30-year-old Katie Hamilton was attempting to make a left turn when a car struck her from the rear, knocking her into the other lane where she hit a pick-up truck head on.”

His daughter leaves behind a husband and three children. All of which, happened on Christmas Eve.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steve, and his entire family.
