"Help." That's what Utah police officers heard at the scene of crash. But when they reached the overturned car in the water, all they found was a mother, who was killed in the crash, and 18 month old child. Lily Groesback was discovered hanging upside down in the backseat in 40-degree water. She was unconscious but alive.

Officer Tyler Beddoes tells the Desert News everyone heard the voice calling for help. "It wasn't just something that was just in our heads. To me it was plain as day."

Police are not only dumbfounded about the mysterious voice that led them to the child, but how Lily survived 14 hours without food or water in the cold temperatures.

"We all got together and we all heard the same type of thing," Beddoes said. "We just can't grasp what we were hearing."

Police believe the mother, Lynn Groesbeck hit a concrete barrier and crashed into the river, but they don't know why, according to Fox News.

Whether you believe in angels or not, someone or something was looking out for Lily in that icy river.
