Motorhead’s New Album — Listen Now
With 14 songs clocking in at 47 minutes, ‘Aftershock’ is Motorhead’s 21st album and first since 2010’s ‘The World Is Yours.” The stream comes courtesy of Yahoo! Music, which calls it an “early Halloween treat.”
Blabbermouth says that a release party will take place at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in West Hollywood on Oct. 18. The event will feature free pizza and prizes, and the first 100 fans through the door will be invited to a listening party in a special room upstairs.
Although Lemmy, the band’s iconic frontman, has suffered a series of health issues over the past year, Motorhead still plan to embark on a five-week European tour next month. Earlier today, Lemmy disclosed that he has quit smoking and drinking Jack Daniel’s and Cokes under orders from his doctor. But even with this new concern for his health, the 67-year old understands that he won’t live forever.
“Death is an inevitability, isn’t it?” he said. “You become more aware of that when you get to my age. I don’t worry about it. I’m ready for it. When I go, I want to go doing what I do best. If I died tomorrow, I couldn’t complain. It’s been good.”
