Monday's are always getting a bad rap. Probably because it's back to work for most of us, and we're still trying to rebound from the weekend. However, Monday's don't have to be dull and humdrum. Here's 3 fun things to do...today.

Free Admission at the Utica  Zoo

Our friends at the Utica Zoo have made our Monday's pretty special. They've been featuring all sorts of fun events this summer, and tonight is no exception.

 Levitt AMP Concert Series

If you haven't been to one of the free Monday night shows at Kopernik Park across from Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute, you're missing out.

We've attended several this summer, and we've never been disappointed. Tonight it's a band from Albany called The Chronicles. According to Naomi Lynn:

This group combines a little bit of soul, a little bit of funk, a little bit of hip-hop and a little bit of jazz to create their unique sound. Opening up for The Chronicles is “Darryl Rahn.”

Showtime is 6pm.

Herman's Hermits at the Fair

The Chevy Court at the Great New York State Fair has a stellar concert line up this year, and this afternoon's show features a an oldie but goodie: Herman's Hermits. They were part of the British Invasion and gave us several hit songs:

They also gave us Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter, and There's a Kind of Hush. The concert is free with Fair admission. Showtime is 2pm.
