Modern English has returned to America to perform their new album "Take Me To The Trees, and other material from Mesh & Lace, After The Snow, Ricochet Days, Stop-Start and more."

This is the first album in 30 years from four-fifths the original line-up of post-punk legends Modern English. We love them from the 80's for their hits "I Melt with You," "Hands Across the Sea," and "Ink and Paper." Now Modern English has returned to America to perform their new album "Take Me To The Trees.

Modern English disbanded in 1987, got back together a couple of years later only to break up again in 1991. They reunited in 1995 and had continued in various lineups since that time, with all original members except drummer Richard Brown. Sounds like a bad romance right? Their website explains it like this: "Bands are like families, bound by something deeper than friendship - and liable to implode just as irrevocably. Yet that familial bond can equally draw you back."

You can see Modern English in concert at The Hollow, 79 North Pearl Street in Albany on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Tickets range from $20.00 - $23.00.
