Michael Jordan Banned From Miami’s La Gorce Country Club And Asked To Leave For Wearing Cargo Shorts
Michael Jordan may be one of the most famous athletes in the world, but apparently he doesn't know how to dress. While golfing at Miami's La Gorce Country Club, they kicked him out because he was wearing cargo shorts.
The six-time NBA champ was in the middle of playing a round when a club representative asked him to return to the clubhouse and change out of his cargos. Of course Jordan didn't want to stop play so he said no. He was then asked to leave and not come back.
Jordan's rep had this to say in a following statement:
"Michael Jordan did wear cargo paints. He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code. This time he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it's their loss -- as M.J. is a great golfer, and a great guest."
The La Gorce Country Club explained to ABC News about it's strict dress code. Members have been reprimanded for not tucking in shirts or wearing flip flops instead of shoes.
If you're spending money with this people what is the problem? Serioisly?
