- Metallica singing a tune from The Little Mermaid? Apparently that happened, as you can see in the new trailer for Metallica's Carpool Karaoke episode with Billy Eichner shown above. It'll be able to stream next Tuesday (Aug. 15) at Apple Music.

- Come on, get it on! Def Leppard's Phil Collen revealed while on Jonesy's Jukebox that the band is planning to tour behind the 30th anniversary of Hysteria and that there have been offers to play the disc in full.

- Eagles of Death Metal have booked four headlining shows during off-dates from their run with Mastodon. Look for the band in Asheville, N.C. (Sept. 28, Orange Peel), Norfolk, Va., (Oct. 2, Norva), Asbury Park, N.J. (Oct. 8, House of Independents) and Tucson, Ariz. (Oct. 18, Rialto Theater).

- Metal vets Diamond Head are heading to North America for dates in August and September. The trek starts Aug. 19 at Psycho Las Vegas, continuing through a Sept. 11 finale in Brooklyn. Dates and details can be found here.

- Weapons of Anew have announced the Sept. 15 street date for their debut disc, The Collision of Love and Hate via OK Good Records. The band will then join Tesla on a fall tour starting Sept. 19 in Reading, Pa. Dates can be found here.
