Oldiez 96.1 is putting the focus on our furry friends this Holiday Season! We’ve teamed up with the New Hartford Animal Hospital and we’re proud to present “The 12 Strays Of Christmas Pet Food and Adoption Drive”! Meet our seventh pet, Zeus the Dog.

Here's Zeus's bio:

You look at me and think “What a dapper guy! How come he still doesn’t have a home?” I ask myself the same thing every day! Hi! My name is ZEUS! Please forgive me for sounding rude, I just know how handsome I really am! My story goes a little differently than some of my furrends around here. I was rescued from a back yard breeder who had a large “overcrowding” issue. Because my previous owners had so many other dogs, I wasn’t properly socialized as a puppy, so I can be a little hesitant when it comes to strangers and new situations. But once I have gotten used to new people and my new surroundings, I am such a love bug! I am an American pit mix right around 2-3 years old with lots of love left to give. I came to the shelter in the early part of January of this year, and since then the staff here has fallen in love with me! Although I like most adults after I have gotten the chance to know them, I am a little wary around smaller children, since I was never exposed to them before. And I am fine with most, larger dogs, but no cats or small dogs for me please! When I see someone I know and love, I just get so excited and jump up and spin in circles! I am just waiting for someone to realize that I am worth the work it will take to get me to trust them; I just know they are out there somewhere!

Would you want to add Zeus to your family? He is currently available at the Herkimer County Humane Society. Give them a call at (315) 866-3255 or stop in for more details on how to add her to your family.
