The ‘Uticon’ comic book show is in its 15th year of both raising funds for the American Cancer Society and celebrating the love of comic books and pop culture in the Mohawk Valley.

Uticon will take place on Sunday, September 23rd from 10 AM to 4 PM at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Alumni Center Building.

Adults 18 and up - $5 each
Teens 13-17 - $3 each
Kids 12 & under - FREE

See 24 professional and semi-professional comic book artists and writers, including:

  •  Bob Almond (artist on Black Panther).
  • Bob Rozakis (long-time writer for DC Comics).
  • Peter Gillis (writer on Marvel’s Dr. Strange).
  • Todd Dezago (writer on Spider-Man and the Perhapanauts).
  • Dave Dellecese and Andrew Cieslinski (Holidaze).

 

Some local science fiction & fantasy authors will be making an appearance at the show, including Nicholas Davis (author of Dimension Lapse), Kyle Lince (author of The Prodigal Outlaw); and G.B. Macrae (author of A Night In the Garden) among others.

The Ghost Seekers of Central New York will be on hand to show fans their array of ghost hunting equipment and allow fans the opportunity to test it themselves. They will also be promoting their new TV show, ‘Ghost & Toast.’

Costuming groups are attending, including the Klingon Assault Group (featuring the alien warriors from the Star Trek TV and movies) and the Rebel Alliance (featuring characters from the Star Wars movies) that fans are welcome to take pictures with.

Vendors will be selling new & old comic books, role-playing games, and other pop culture items. All fans who attend will be given a free chance for door prizes, as well.
