You've heard his music in horror movies such as Halloween, The Thing, They Live, and many others,  Now, hear that terrifying music up close and personal when filmmaker, composer and "master of horror" John Carpenter brings his Anthology Tour to the Palace Theater in Syracuse,

Carpenter is one of the most influential filmmakers and musicians of the late 70's and 80's due to his synthesizer driven sound in several horror and action films.

His new album, Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 is scheduled for release on October 20th. It includes newly recorded versions of 13 of his movie themes from Assault on Precinct 13, The Fog, Escape from New York, Star Man, Christine and of course Halloween.

Tickets for the November 19th show go on sale August 25 at 10am. Prices for reserved seating range from $50 to $225 for the meet and greet and VIP packages. Tickets are available at afterdarkpresents.com and palaceonjames.com.

His most well known movie theme is from the 1978 film Halloween.

John Carpenter, a native of Upstate New York was born in Carthage, which is just east of Watertown.
