The debate over the worst pot holes in Central New York starts every Spring but a pot hole turned into a sink hole in Utica. Brenda Smith of Clark Mills almost saw her car swallowed by it as it opened just as she drove by a the intersection of Lafayette and State Streets in Utica.

The hole appeared Friday and crews were on scene working to repair the road. Although a patch was placed on the sink hole, more permanent work will be done this summer according to WIBX.
