It happens every year at this time, the ceremony lasts a really short time when weighed against what the men and women of the Armed Forces gave to their country. We are talking about Veterans Day.
Veterans Day happens on a special day this year, Friday, November 10th 2017 at 10 am, as it does every year. We stop on this day to honor both the men and women of the armed services both current and past. From the 1940's to the Persian Gulf War.
Masonic Care will host our annual Veterans Day Ceremony in the Atrium of the Health Pavilion. The Masonic War Veterans Post 55 will attend to Post the Colors at the event. Among musical selections from resident choirs, prayers, and acknowledgments, children from MCC's child care center will join the ceremony as part of their inter-generational programming.
"What most people don't know is the Masonic Care Community is honored to have close to 100 resident and staff veterans. On this special day of reverence, we want to make sure to honor their service to their country and fellow Americans", says Executive Director, Robert Raffle. "The times served range from the 1940's through today, but one thing remains the same-these men and women have sacrificed for all of our freedom. Its a debt we can never repay."
