Wow, I can't believe I'm even typing that headline, but it's true. While most of us were watching election coverage on Tuesday, others were paying attention to a different sort of amendment. If you live in those states and are 21 and over, it is actually legal to carry an ounce and have several plants in their houses! This news raises a zillion questions in my mind, like alcohol used to be prohibited, or at least the manufacture and sale of it, so what does this mean for us all now?

Are we going to be plunged into a sort of civil war at least verbally as each state tries to figure out what to do? And what of federal law? It's still illegal nationally to use pot so how are the states going to hash (haha, sorry I couldn't resist) that out with the big guys?

The voters have spoken and we have to respect their will. This will be a complicated process, but we intend to follow through. That said, federal law still says marijuana is an illegal drug so don’t break out the Cheetos or gold fish too quickly.

Well, pro ball organizations such as the NFL and MLB have both told their athletes to hold their horses because even though it's legal in those two states, it's still illegal according to the bylaws of those organizations. Also, the distinctive green leaves will be taxed, so each state stands to gain millions from this industry instead of spending tons to eradicate it. I had a feeling greenbacks might've been a factor in the motivation of passing this measure. This sounds like a sticky situation and very thin ice to tread on no matter your views. But as always, I'm curious what YOU think!
