Although the recent glut of posters for 'Man of Steel' have been less than satisfying, the same can't be said for each and every trailer and TV spot, which make the new Superman movie look like the blockbuster to beat this summer. The newest spot doesn't change the pattern -- this movie looks fantastic.

The new spot is full of new footage, some of it big and chaotic, some of it gorgeous. The footage begins with the voice of Laurence Fishburne's Perry White, asking someone (possibly Lois Lane) how the world would react if a being like Superman actually existed, which seems to be the mission statement for the entire film. What follows is a pretty action-packed thirty seconds, including a stand-off between Superman (Henry Cavill) and a group of soldiers and a shot of General Zod (Michael Shannon) and his forces. Ultimately, it all leads to Kevin Costner's Pa Kent telling Clark that he'll have to make a big choice someday. It all looks terrific.

'Man of Steel' opens on June 14th. You're going to see it, huh?
