The small New York town of Liberty has made a spot in the Sundance Film Festival.

This indie film is the directorial debut of  David Cross and features a number of celebrities including Michael Cera, Wyatt Cenac, Meredith Hagner, Matt Walsh and Jason Ritter.

This is an interesting story about fame set in the small New York town of Liberty and titled "Hits" a local girl who dreams of fame while her father becomes a viral hit due to his confrontation with the local town council.

The movie is currently available in a "pay-what-you-want" format along with Video On Demand and showings at select theaters.

It certainly aims to capture life in a small New York Town and certainly lives up to its tagline "Based on a true story...that hasn't happened yet."
