Thinking back to breakfast nothing was better than a big bowl of cereal! My favorite had to have been Sugar Smacks. But according to a surprising new study, kids are not stuck on sugary breakfast cereals.

Researchers from Yale University found that kids will gladly chow down on low-sugar cereals if they’re given a choice at breakfast and many reach for fruit if they’re still craving something sweet.

“Don’t be scared that your child is going to refuse to eat breakfast,” said study co-author Marlene B. Schwartz. “Even if it’s not Fruit Loops or Frosted Flakes, the kids will eat it.”

Other than cereal I’ve always been a big fan of eating PopTarts, and waffles. That’s where I’ll find my sugar fill now a days, in the syrup!

What are some other healthy breakfast snacks?
