Johnny Depp has spent time in Australia this year to film the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean. He took some time away from shooting "Dead Men Tell No Tales", according to Lunar News A2, to visit some sick children in the Oncology Ward at Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane.

The visit was Johnny Depp's idea and was filmed by the children for their TV channel Juiced TV. He had some mischievous fun with the kids and gave them lots of encouragement. He said "I salute you for your bravery and courage because that is all that matters."

If you remember he got into some trouble when he flew his terriers, Pistol and Boo, into Australia on his private jet without informing customs officials. Australia has very strict quarantine requirements. A government minister threatened to have his two dogs put down but he did manage to fly the dogs safely back to the U.S.
