According to the Guardian, The rights were purchased by Alan Samson of the Orion Publishing Group for an undisclosed amount. The collection includes more than 150 letters, including one in which he wrote to an 8-year-old boy. Samson added, "They are full of wonderful drawings. They are funny, sad…they are very human letters."

With Lennon being such a great writer, these letters are sure to be very emotional and meaningful. The release of the letters will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' debut single Love Me Do.
