Bluewater Comics has announced plans to release a John Lennon comic book shortly after Christmas. "Orbit: John Lennon" will be released on December 27th and cover Lennon's life and musical journey. The 32 page comic will be scripted by Mark Shapiro who explained his approach to the effort:

"I approached writing Fame: John Lennon as an exploration of a life full of potential and promise that was, sadly, cut short." - RTTNews.com

Those hoping for a behind the scences look into Lennon's years with the Beatles will be sadly disappointed. Shapiro decided to use the book to focus on Lennon's life after the Fab Four:

"I felt it was more important to concentrate on his post Beatles' life and career, both good and bad, so that readers would get the clearest possible idea about who he was as a creative entity, husband and father." - RTTNews.com

Anything connected to Lennon and his life a hot commodity as Lennon himself remains a popular figure despite his death more than 30-years ago. One of the artist's molars will be auctioned off through the London Omega Auction house in England. Bidding is set to start at $16,000. The comic book will be released in time to mark the anniversary of Lennon's death.
