The land of Microsoft and Starbucks, Seattle, is working to turn Jimi Hendrix Park into a true legacy for his music. The design team has secured funding and plans to hold public meetings on the idea beginning May 17th. The park is next to Seattle’s Northwest African American Museum and was named after Hendrix in 2006. Among the ideas for the park include lyrical stepping stones, rain drums, a sculpted butterfly garden or walkways with Hendrix’s lyrics. Find out more at www.jimihendrixparkfoundation.org.
