Is Ithaca Beer Company celebrating the day after income tax deadline, April 15th? I highly doubt it, but the brewery is debuting a new beer on April 16th.

Here are the details of the release of Luminous Golden Wild Ale, according to ithacabeer.com:

"We are more than excited to announce the very limited release (less than 100 cases) of a new wild ale at the brewery on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 called Luminous Golden Wild Ale.

Luminous will only be available for sale at the brewery with a two bottle purchase limit per customer. The Taproom opens on April 16th at noon.

Luminous is a golden wild ale brewed with wheat and aged NYS hops. Fermented for over a year, this ale is a delightful meditation on uninhibited life; a celebration of esoteric flavors. Enjoy the simple, yet intriguing pineapple, cherry, mango, and hay aroma complemented by a bucolic funk. All cushioned by a dazzling effervescence and a light tartness, a truly wild ale reminiscent of the pastoral landscapes surrounding the Finger Lakes. ABV %6.0

Luminous is a part of the Excelsior! Series, an elevated line of craft beers brewed by Ithaca Beer in very limited quantities."

So, if you're planning on spending the day in Ithaca or know someone who is on April 16th, you may be able to get your share of this new brew.
