New research shows that every 7 out of 10 people engage in smartphone activities while driving. The problem isn't just texting from behind the wheel anymore. People are checking emails, posting to Facebook, and even taking selfies.

To drive home these new findings with the message “It Can (All) Wait,” AT&T has teamed up with the New York State Senator Joseph A. Griffo and is bringing the AT&T nationally-touring 3D virtual reality simulator to Sangertown Square Mall on Thursday August 13th from 10AM to 4PM.

The public will get the opportunity to experience firsthand how dangerous it can be when you take your eyes off the road to look at your phone. The 3D virtual reality simulator will be free and open to the public to take a test drive at the mall.

While behind the wheel of a vehicle, everything can change in the blink of an eye. Google Cardboard will make it possible for people to use their own smartphones to see the 3D virtual reality program. To learn more about how you can experience this program at home, visit www.ItCanWait.com/VR.
