Not if you download the Radio Pup App for your device! How many times do you think the average person looks at their phone on a given day?  Ready for this?  150 times.  That right 150!  Also, about a third of smartphone users admit that they are addicted to their devices.  Well, new study suggests that being a phone addict could be a sign of depression.

Why?  Recent research suggests that people often check their phone because they are trying to improve a negative mood.

College students completed online surveys to determine smartphone use could be linked to emotional instability.

Maybe you’ve noticed this in someone you know that uses their smartphone a lot.  Ask yourself this…are they more moody? Shorter temper?  Less able to focus on a given task?  Also, those who have historically been impulsive, were more prone to be addicted to using the smartphone.

So are these mobile devices that keep us in touch with the rest of the world make us all introverts?  Could be.  Introverts used to be the ones at the party sitting by themselves, but now the ones sitting by themselves, are the ones addicted to the smartphones, because they are constantly focused on what is going on with their online world, rather than the fun that may be happening around them.

Look here for more information about how smartphones are taking over our lives.  Heads up America!
