Growing up we all learned that if we drink too much beer we will develop a beer belly. Is having a beer belly even true? Is it just a myth? Good news for beer drinkers all over today: If you drink beer in moderation, it's no more likely to give you a big belly than drinking anything else.

According to a new study, there's no such thing as a beer belly. You can drink all the Utica Club and PBR that your little heart desires.

Dr. Kathryn O'Sullivan, the nutritionist who ran the study, found if you drink beer in moderation, it's no more likely to give you a big belly than drinking anything else. Drink on right?

"If you are a massive consumer of beer, you will of course put on weight. But if you are a massive consumer of wine, the same would be true."

So if you have a beer belly, you can't blame the beer. No one ever wants to blame the beer do they?
