Is 38 Special Still Playing Vernon Downs?

Vernon Downs is scheduled to hold a fundraiser for the Food Bank of Central New York that features the band 38 Special on Friday, June 30th. With the risk of the casino closing, some are wondering if the concert is still on? 

Phones are ringing in the studio with listeners asking about the 38 Special concert and is still on, and the answer is yes. Yes, the show will go on. Vernon Downs says all events that have been scheduled will continue as planned.

Vernon Downs has been forced to begin the process of shutting down and closing due to financial issues. WIBX reports the casino is slated to close down on September 10th, 2017. Some restaurants will only be open until November 11th, 2017 with more closing on December 18th, 2017.
