The new 'Interstellar' trailer is attached to 'Godzilla' in theaters, so you'll get your chance to preview Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic in IMAX (assuming you're smart enough to see 'Godzilla' in IMAX), but the footage has finally hit the web.

In truth, not much was known about 'Interstellar.' We were only afforded a brief teaser trailer, which was more quiet than action- or plot-heavy, and a none-too-specific plot description:

‘Interstellar’ chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Thankfully, though, this new, fuller 'Interstellar' trailer gives us more than inspirational words from Matthew McConaughey. The footage, which as far as footage goes looks quite spectacular, shows a world where mankind has run out of food to cultivate and, therefore, must look to the stars in the hopes of preserving the species.

McConaughey, who strategically underwent a rebirth through roles in 'Mud,' his Oscar-winning 'Dallas Buyers Club' and HBO's hit 'True Detective,' leads the cast of 'Interstellar,' which also includes the likes of Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck and Michael Cain. So we're bursting at the seams a bit to see what he can do leading a film of this magnitude.

'Interstellar' opens in theaters this November 7.
