I enjoyed dinner at Symeon's. I was hungry and tired. It was hard to choose what I wanted for dinner, but I did go in knowing I needed baklava.

I must apologize in advance. I always to forget the take a picture before I start eating. I get so excited when the food comes and it looks so good I just dig in.

We had The Sampler Platter for our appetizer: combination of fried calamari (Baby squid dipped in Symeon’s original batter, deep-fried to a crisp golden brown and sprinkled with Symeon’s Seasonings), fried eggplant ( Fresh eggplant, deep fried to perfection, and sprinkled with Symeon's own special seasonings) and stuffed grape leaves which our wonderful waitress switched that out for Tzatziki Dip (zesty garlic, yogurt and cucumber).

I finally decided on my dinner and it was really difficult. I didn't decide until the waitress took my order. On the other hand my husband knew what he wanted and didn't waiver when looking at the menu.

What I enjoyed was The Gyro Platter: Lean, seasoned ground beef charbroiled and served over a salad with yogurt sauce.

My husband enjoyed Psari Sto Filo: A fresh haddock fillet in a creamy white wine, mushroom and cream cheese sauce and wrapped in filo pastry.

They were both absolutely delicious. Did we stop there? Oh no. I had to have the baklava and would not share with my husband. I told him I cant spare a bite!!! Symeon's is such a nice family environment. I even took advantage of drawing on the table as you'll see in the photo gallery.

It was the perfect ending to a crazy day in the radio biz. When your feeling frazzled and need a little pampering I would definitely suggest Symeon's Greek Restaurant. They let you dine at your own pace and the surroundings are very calming and not stressful. It was a nice change of pace from other restaurants I've been to recently.
