You may've heard Imogen Heap's single 'Hide and Seek' on the radio here in the states but before that she solidified herself in the UK as the veritable queen of electronic music. She has much more to her credit including getting her songs featured in TV and movies, but what she's involved in now is sure to make her a household name worldwide. She is pioneering the development of the 'Mi.Mu' musical gloves, that once they finally take off are sure to revolutionize the way we all make music FOREVER. Watch!

Totally reminds me of Tom Cruise in 'Minority Report' where he was manipulating computer screens with special gloves and it looks like the future has once again arrived in the now. So, now that you've seen Imogen 'play' her gloves with the help of an X-box Kinect, she is virtually using her entire body as controller for her music software. In fact it's more than a controller because the movements are intuitive and actually enhance the performance. I started the above video about 12 minutes in but below she shows a little of how she does it...

And of course for all of the music nerds out there, here's the first half of the video that I cut above so you can geek out even more. She's a little hard to follow as she demonstrates in detail the finer points of how her system works, but then again most musicians aren't the best speakers in the world either. Enjoy and imagine what's ahead for music once this takes off!
