We've all heard of HYPOthermia where your body temperature drops far below what it should and your body begins to shut down, but be prepared for the opposite here in CNY as the temps approach dangerous levels starting on Sunday. If your body temp raises above 99.5 you are considered to have hyperthermia and if it goes above 104, that's when some of your cells start to die... So, what are we to do?

To stay cool, our bodies rely on sweat evaporating from our skin and in humid weather this happens much slower if at all. The big deal here is PROLONGED exposure, so if you can hang around water to dip in (and more importantly to drink) you'll be good. If you must be in the sun this weekend (and next week), do your best to be as stationary as possible and again, in the heat for only short amounts of time.
