Budapest will name a small park after Elvis Presley because he supported Hungary’s anti-Soviet revolution of 1956. Budapest’s mayor says a plot near a bridge will be named in Presley’s honor. In January 1957, Presley sang “Peace in the Valley” on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Sullivan said that song reflected Presley’s concert for Hungarians after the uprising. The revolution lasted just 18 days.
