Bald is beautiful. Especially when it's for a great cause. Hundreds of people shaved their head over the weekend for the annual St Baldricks Foundation fundraiser. Over 500 helped raise funds to find a cure for childhood cancer at Kitty Boyne, a Syracuse bar that has the second largest Shave-A-Thon event in the country.

Others around the country joined the cause, including an entire hockey team in El Paso.

Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year and in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease — more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined.
