The first snow storm of the season was a doozy for parts of central and upstate New York. But the spot that saw the most snow? Redfield, New York in the Tug Hill region and you won't believe how much they got.

AccuWeather's Extreme Meteorologist Reed Timmer trudged through chest high snow that measured 54.5 inches. Timmer has seen a lot of extreme weather but says, "this is the craziest snow I've ever seen."

Redfield is no stranger to snow. It's often measure in feet rather than inches but many residents say this storm was a big one.

If you're sick of the snow already and tired from all that shoveling, here's a laugh for you today.
