Like it or not, you have a belly button. Some people like theirs, others find them disgusting. If you didn't find them disgusting, you may after reading this. Heads up: there are more kinds of bacteria in your belly button than there are different kinds of birds in North America. Delicious. 

According to a new study from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, researchers found that more than 2,000 different species of bacteria live in our belly buttons. Are you freaking out yet? I know I am! – but they say there's no need to panic.

"I don’t find it alarming,' said Dr. William Schaffner, an expert in infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. "We knew belly buttons weren’t sterile."
