How Can A Father Punch His Baby In The Face?

How on earth can any man punch a baby in the face? This is an actual story unfolding in Gloversville NY. 

The Daily Gazette reports Gloversville Police have arrested Andrew Allen, 31, and charged him with felony counts of assault, attempted assault and reckless endangerment. Police say he punched his baby in the head after a fight with his wife. The Nathan Littauer Hospital reported an infant with a traumatic head injury Saturday morning at 7 am to the police. The baby was airlifted to Albany Med and is suffering from a fractured skill.

Police told The Daily Gazette that the baby was in “stable” condition and further information was not available. Allen was arraigned and is being held at Fulton County jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

This is just heartbreaking news. What kind of punishment can change this sort of behavior? A baby is a blessing. Infants should not be born with a job like saving a marriage. They should not have to suffer abuse, endure hunger, or other horrific tragedies.
