So, my family and I are enjoying some goodies at the Ice Cream Factory when we notice a hot air balloon way up in the humid sky and as we're watching, we realize it's getting closer and closer before it disappears behind a nearby building. Soon after, the chase truck for 'Airborne Adventures' drove past and as I drove home I was determined to find out where it landed. I didn't have to look far!

It had landed behind a residence on Oneida St. Washington Mills in a really tiny back yard and we were treated to this sight as we drove up. Here's the exclusive video of the balloon immediately after it landed...

Dwight Cramer, who was the pilot made an expert landing and nicely topped off what was a memorable 25th wedding anniversary flight for Mark and Paula Stolarczyk, the couple who was onboard! I chatted with Dwight and here's a direct quote and some pics from him about the flight...

...We launched from the Stolarscyk farm on Sayer Huth Road in Madison about an hour and 20 minutes before setting down on Oneida Street. The Stolarczyk's had scheduled the flight to celebrate their 25th anniversary after we landed on their farm in February. Upon launching, we flew northeast to an altitude of 10,810' asl for a spectacular view above the haze and humidity. The air was cool and dry. The sun was very bright and the sky very blue. We then began our descent, swooping past a ball game along Rt 8 before gently settling into the backyard on Oneida Street. There was just enough room to deflate the balloon, and then we invited everyone there to join us in a toast to the Stolarcyks (Mark and Paula), the chase crew and friendly landowners.
