Strep Throat Takes Maddie Phaneuf Out Of Olympic Competition In 2018

Sadly Maddie Phaneuf has come down with a case of Strep Throat and that effectively has taken her out of the competition.

Originally her run in the women's' 15K individual biathlon was scheduled to take place tomorrow after a series of wind delays. There is an outside chance that she may be able to participate in the team relay later in the games.

This is Maddie's first Olympics and by no means her last. I'm sure we will see Maddie in 2022 in the women's' 15K biathlon both individual and team competition.
