Hidden Treasures In CNY ~ Prostitute Printing Plate

Ahhh prostitution. The world's oldest profession was possibly advertised in Cooperstown N.Y. 

This week in Hidden Treasures in CNY a printing plate was found in Cooperstown at a former 'house of ill repute.' Bob Howard, artifact recovery specialist from Otego N.Y.

says "the prostitution advertising printing plate is from the 1800's" and was used to make flyers for advertising their talents. It shows a risky scene of a woman undressing and would have been used the same as we use a rubber stamp today.
