Kathrine Switzer -- who became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon 50 years ago -- ran in today's race, wearing the same bib number she wore in 1967.

It was her first time running the Boston Marathon since 1976 and her first marathon since 2011.  The 70-year old Switzer finished in a time of 4.44:31, good for eighth in the women's 70 to 74 age group.

Switzer is a member of the National Distance Running Hall of Fame and is part of WIBX's Boilermaker coverage.
