This Saturday, October 13th, it's the Annual Barr Family Pig Roast at the Deerfield Fire Department in support of Smile Train. Last year, the Barr’s raised more than $5,400 to help more than 20 children in need of cleft lip and palate surgery. Now, the Barr’s have made their Pig Roast an annual celebration and continue their efforts to help children all over the world suffering from un-repaired cleft.

Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with un-repaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly. Aren't allowed to attend school or hold a job. And face very difficult lives filled with shame and isolation, pain and heartache. Their clefts usually go untreated because they are poor – too poor to pay for a simple surgery that has been around for decades.”

Help raise money so these kids don't have to go through this terrible problem.

Tickets will cost you $20 at the door, and Kids under 10 get in for free. Enjoy Pulled Pork BBQ, live music, and kids activities!

Here's Mike Barr from earlier this morning talking about Smile Train.
