We're elated that pigs finally started to fly because 'pig wings' are scrumptious, delectable, heavenly...

We stopped by an Old Forge hot spot called Daiker's, located on 4th Lake of the Fulton Chain of lakes. Daiker's is a destination for tourists from all over the world. We can see why with the beautiful view of the lake while dining or having cocktails on the deck.

Daikers serves an appetizer called Pig Wings. What are pig wings? According to eatpigwings.com, 'Pig Wings are a delicious Gluten Free and all natural product made from the shank - a single bone surrounded by lean, tender meat.'

What is a pig shank? According to ASK.com,  'A pork shank is a cut of meat from the lower leg of a pig. A pork shank contains part of the pig's femur, or leg bone, and part of its shank bone.'

We liked the pig wings. They're served in your choice of sauce, much like chicken wings, and also come with blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping. If this dish was always a choice, then we have no problem passing up chicken wings.

Pig wings aren't as messy as chicken wings. They're succulent and flavorful, and if you cook them slow you can probably make them yourself. If you ever see this on the menu, and you've never tried them give it a shot. We think you'll be glad you did.
