According to National Day Calendar National Beer Day is celebrated annually on April 7th.

Beer is the world’s most widely consumed alcoholic beverage.  Following water and tea, it is the third most popular drink overall. On April 7, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt took the first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law that allowed people to brew and sell beer, in the United States, as long as it remained below 4.0% alcohol by volume (ABV). Beer drinkers celebrated and were happy to be able to purchase beer again for the first time in thirteen years.

With our huge local beer selection in our area there is no reason not to celebrate the day. Meet up with your friends and try something new to you.

  1. Historians speculate that prehistoric nomads may have made beer from grain & water before learning to make bread.
  2. Noah's provisions included beer on the Ark.
  3. If an Egyptian gentleman offered a lady a sip of his beer they were betrothed.
  4. Beer at this time was so valued that it was sometimes used to pay workers as part of their daily wages.
  5. Beer was a vital part of civilization and the Babylonian, Assyrian, Egyptian, Hebrew, Chinese, and Inca cultures.

This is some fun research. I could go on and on with the cool facts but you get the idea. Happy National Beer Day!!!
