Hannaford Supermarkets Recalling White American Cheese

No illnesses or injuries have been reported, but the cheese might contain metal fragments.

If you purchased White American Cheese at the Hannaford Supermarket's deli it's a good idea to return it. The supermarket chain is voluntarily recalling the product and providing a full refund.

The products being recalled are Hannaford White American Cheese and Freshly Sliced White American Cheese with one of these two UPC codes:

• UPC # 21658200000
• UPC # 21281800000

The cheese would have been purchased in the deli between September 8 and October 8. The recall is due to the cheese containing a foreign object. Hannaford is providing a full refund.
