We've talked about Shimon Galiley before, the Utica videographer behind many of the videos you've seen in your news feed lately and he's done it yet again. This time the primary subject of the lens is Sam Swanson and the Handsome Young Ladies with their cover of Sade's 'Smooth Operator' promoting their aptly titled upcoming album, 'We Got It Covered'. (Read more below the video)

Sam is the epitome of cover artists who instead of copping the original tune verbatim, take it through their own unique wash cycle and what comes out may as well be a brand new original. Not only that, but the songs he chooses aren't ones that normally get much attention in local cover circuits and did I mention that this is a produced video? (Unlike those shaky, unfocused, muffled audio cellphone videos that you're used to.)

You may recognize the girl playing Sam's scorned wife as local model, Morgan O'Sullivan (makeup and outfit courtesy of Alyssa Aiello and CNYFW) and of course the private hangars at Griffiss Airport in Rome provide the kickoff backdrop for the video. Although you don't see me, I briefly plaid Sam's double inside the moving airplane, courtesy of Adirondack Flying Club. Hope you enjoy!
