Popular Halloween Costumes For 2012 And Costumes We Would Like to See
The leaves are falling, the air is cooler and the feel of Halloween is in the air. Our son Dylan has his costume picked out already but still I thought I'd visit some stores in the area and create a list of popular selling costumes along with some idea's of what we'd like to see on Halloween.First the most popular items in store now, in no particular order.
The scarey clown is always a crowd favorite. At Dylan's birthday party over the weekend two children actually left when Smiley the clown arrived, and she was not scarey at all. I think you can make this costume better by squirting blood from a flower instead of water.
From the very popular Batman movie, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy. While most kids may want to be Batman, many are going for Bane.
He is currently surging in the polls and could be the next president of the United States. The Governor Mitt Romney mask is flying off the shelves and will be a popular costume this Halloween for sure. All you need is a suit and a flag and your all set.
Nothing say's more clearly who you plan to vote for than sending your child out wearing a mask of the 44th current President of the United States, Barack Obama. In a non-scientific poll, this mask is slightly out selling the Romney mask.
I asked the folks at the store to point me to the popular selling children's costume and this was it. Skins. You can be any color, any size and it looks like you have no eyes but you can see through the thinner material provided. Let's hope for a warm evening for this costume looks a little cool.
And now for a few we would like to see this year.
With his resurgence onto the scene by appearing in the Hangover movies, Mike Tyson, the retired boxer and convicted rapist is making headlines again as he has been barred from New Zealand by government ministers who revoked an entry permit due to his controversial past. If you can recreated this facial tattoo, you've got a Halloween hit.
Doesn't every mom want to get her five year old daughter to start tanning? To make this one work simply apply dark liquid foundation, mess up your hair a bit, and put on a tank top with cut off shorts and your golden...or bronze.
Could you imagine if you and your future ex had to go to a Halloween party? Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Katy Perry and Russell Brand, Seal and Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, these are all good idea's for sending the soon to be ex a message.
It sounds a little morbid but we did lose a lot of legends the past year or so. Donna Summer, Steve Jobs, Dick Clark, Andy Griffith, Robin Gibb and Whitney Houston just to name a few. If you go as something they were known for you'll make it fun and memorable showing why we loved them so much.
It's official, we've lowered the bar as far as it can go. I'll bet this is going to be a popular Halloween costume since the show ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo‘ has become a HUGE hit on TLC. I'd enjoy seeing Mama as much as Honey Boo Boo Child. You better “redneckonize” these costumes on the street this Halloween!
