Rarely do I lose my phone, my wife loses her phone all the time.  Then again, I normally just pop it into my pocket while my wife puts hers into the gigantic sack known as her purse.  If you are one of those people who consistently lose their phone, check this out…

A new update fresh from Google allows you to find your phone simply by typing “find my phone” into Google search and it will find it quickly.  I was a little skeptical about this, so I had to try it myself.

Lo and behold, it worked!  Here’s the kicker though, it has to be an android phone because of how it ties to Google.  Pretty amazing.  You also have to make sure you have your phone’s location settings enabled.

You can even have it ring your phone as well, it won’t work if your phone is on vibrate, which is where mine is most of the time.

This really isn’t new technology, as Android has allowed you to locate devices through the device manager, however, the new search update makes it so much easier

If you have an Android phone, give it a try at Google.com.  Make sure you are logged into your Google account.
