On June 8th, 1984 Ghostbusters opened in theaters, making today the movie's 27th anniversary.  The movie made more than $200 million dollars and quickly became a part of American culture with catch phrases like, "Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!" Recently I had a chance to watch this classic with my kids. It was everything I remember. My kids called it lame. While they enjoyed some of the dialog, the "special effects", where pathetic compared to the special effects found in movies today. They couldn't stop commenting on how poor the special effects were. I won't be watching any other of my childhood favorites with my kids any time soon. Who can you call for that?
