It's going to another snowy, cold winter. The Farmer's Almanac is predicting above-normal snow and below-normal temperatures; nothing new for us harder central New Yorkers.

The Northeast isn't the only place getting hit this winter. Parts of the South will see icy conditions, while the Midwest will deal with extreme cold.

"Just about everybody who gets snow will have a White Christmas in one capacity or another," editor Janice Stillman tells the Huffington Post.

California will see above normal-rainfall, but a drought is expected for the second half of winter.

In Buffalo they dug out from under 60 inches of snow that fell at one time. The New York State Thruway was even closed for days.

Get the snow blowers and shovels ready. It sounds like you'll need them A LOT this winter.
