"Utica On Tap" coming March 22nd to the Stanley Theater offers a great opportunity for beer lovers to discover new brews. One of the current breweries that seems to be the rage is Shiner Brewing Company from Texas, and they'll have a few products at the event to sample.

Here's what Shiner is bringing for sampling at Utica On Tap:

Description according to shiner.com:

"This American-style dark lager is brewed with roasted barley malt and German specialty hops. It's lightly hopped and was once just a seasonal beer, until fans demanded it year-round back in 1973. It's available year-round in bottles, cans and on draft."

Alcohol by volume: 4.4%

"Named after a Highway FM 966 just south of the brewery, Farmhouse Ale is made with Pilsner and wheat malts for a spicy, fruity taste. It's available during spring in bottles, cans and on draft.

Alcohol by volume: 5.7%"

Shiner Brewing is actually the Spoetzl Brewery. Here's more according to shiner.com:

"Today’s Spoetzl Brewery is a far cry from the old tin shed where Shiner first flowed back in 1909. We think our founder, Kosmos Spoetzl, would probably be amazed at our state-of-the art Brew House. He’d also be happy to know we still brew every drop of Shiner right here in Shiner, Texas."
